The bEUret is the first and original EU beret. Designed by a member of Bath for Europe, and once called The Original Bath Beret, it has steadily become a more and more distinctive iconic symbol - you can spot them at events across the country and in the media.
So popular they became, that the volunteers assembling them, couldn't keep up with the demand and these stylish berets were outsourced and named the bEUret.
The bEUret featured at both the 2019 and 2018 Last Night of the Proms where there were a 'sea of EU berets' (Independent). The Times described the Royal Albert Hall full of 'berets, fetching blue items with yellow stars arrayed like buttercup-chains, that made the biggest splash, outnumbering the Union Jack trilbies and bowlers' whilst The Evening Standard said the bEUrets were 'rather natty'.
bEUret is an entirely not-for-profit venture and all proceeds have been fed back into the Remain Campaign. bEUret was run entirely by volunteers, who gave up their time to campaign for remain. We donated over £17,000 to The People's Vote Campaign, Our Future Our Choice (OFOC), SODEM and Bath for Europe whilst still members of the EU. Since we have left the European Union we have continued to donate our profits and have donated £13,000 to The Good Law Project making a total of £30,000 donated to date.
